Graveside services for Paul F. Jacka Jr. 79, will be Friday, October 21, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. atBlue SpringsCemetery in Etoile, Texas, with Brother Tim Warkentin officiating.
Paul Jacka Jr. passed away Monday, October 17, 2005 in Houston, Texas.
Paul was born June 28, 1926 in Wakeeney, Kansas to Paul F. Jacka Sr. and Grace Wolner Jacka who, preceded him in death.
Paul Jacka Jr. married Alyce C. Andreasen on August 7, 1959 and they have resided in Shirley Creek Estates since his retirement in 1983 as a Warden of the Texas Department of Corrections. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He loved the peacefulness and beauty of the East Texas piney woods and spent many hours fishing the water of SamRayburnLake.
Paul is survived by his wife of 46 years, Alyce C. Jacka; his son and daughter-in-law, Steven Paul Jacka and his wife Linda of Markham, Ontario, Canada; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah C. Garman and her husband Tommy of Houston, Texas; sisters, Billie A. Morgan of Odessa, Texas and Bobbie E. McDaniel of Alpine, Texas; an aunt, Mrs. Margaret Ridgeway of Ellis, Kansas; grandchildren, Nicole C. Pampell and her husband Jeff of Houston, Texas, Michael Joshua Muehlendorf and his wife Laura of Belton, Texas, Shelly M. and Craig T. Garman of College Station, Erin M. Straughan and her husband Paul of Toronto, Canada, and Marcia A. Crosbie of Icheon, South Korea; great-grandchildren, Katherine Claire and William Lee Muehlendorf of Belton, Texas.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m..
