Nacogdoches School District Superintendent Dr Tony Riehl is now on a medical leave of absence. The district's attorney says Riehl's request satisfies the requirements of the district's policy. The leave is due to an illness. That's all the information that is being released.
The search for an acting superintendent has started. Riehl's leave follows the resignation of an assistant superintendent and a business manager. Two administrators are conducting the duties once performed by five top level employees.
