Day Three Of Meth Murder Trial

by Ramonica R. Jones

Belinda Sage took the stand Thursday. The Angelina County jail inmate told jurors Rebecca Lee confided in her details of Candice Alexander's death.

Sage said Lee told her, "I hit her with 50 units of meth." Fifty units of meth is almost a syringe full.

Sage also testified Lee was hysterical the day her daughter died because her husband, Johnny Lee, took Candice on a fishing trip. She said Lee was jealous because she knew her husband and Candice would have sex on the trip, and that they'd had sex the day before.

Rebecca Lee reportedly confessed to Sage that Johnny Lee was outside when she injected her daughter with meth.

Sage is in the Angelina County jail for revocation of probation after she was caught with meth. She met the Lees through an ex-husband. All four were acquaintances who had meth in common.

The Lees are in the Angelina County jail, charged with murder. Their daughter, Candice Alexander, was found dead in May of 2003.
