Stormy Halloween

Halloween was scary for some this year. Strong storms pushed through East Texas, and brought heavy downpours, high wind, and some hail. Luckily, the strongest of the storms moved out of East Texas by the evening.

Here are a few county by county rain amounts:

Angelina County:

  • Burke -- 1.41" Rain
  • Huntington -- 2.00" Rain
  • Moffett -- 1.50" Rain
  • Zavalla -- 1.25" Rain

Cherokee County:

  • Alto -- 0.70" Rain

Nacogdoches County:

  • Etoile -- 1.00" Rain, Pea Size Hail
  • Garrison -- 1.40" Rain
  • Carrizo Creek -- 1.20" Rain
  • Looneyville -- 1.20" Rain
  • Cushing -- 1.10" Rain
  • Nacogdoches Airport -- 1.06" Rain

Rusk County:

  • S. Rusk County -- 1.20" Rain

Trinity County:

  • Trinity -- 1.80" Rain

Shelby County:

  • Center -- 0.60" Rain
  • Timpson -- 1.20" Rain

Sabine County:

  • Milam -- 1.10" Rain

San Augustine County:

  • Goodwin -- 1.20" Rain

Fortunately, East Texas needed the rain. Angelina and Newton counties have lifted the burn bans for the moment. However, many counties in East Texas are still under a burn ban.
