Brookshire Brothers is preparing for its first Fresh Harvest cooking show. They hope it will become an annual event.
Hundreds of people will fill the civic center in Lufkin Tuesday to watch a veteran chef whip up some delicious dinners and creative cuisines. In addition to tasty samples and prize giveaways, you'll also be able to do a little shopping before the show starts.
There'll be plenty of vendor booths set up to help you make your own one-of-a-kind meals at home.
Chef Henry Wiens said, "We've got some great recipes that we're gonna share with the community. We're going to introduce some new foods, we're going to give away some great prizes, and it's gonna be a great time with the folks in Lufkin and the surrounding areas."
The first Fresh Harvest show starts at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday. The second show begins at 6:30 p.m.
You can get your tickets at the door. Proceeds go to the Junior League of Lufkin.
