It has been a special day for folks who shared a Thanksgiving meal in East Texas. GODTEL Ministries in Lufkin and Nacogdoches helped feed dozens of people in need. Music and words of thanks kicked off the day.
GODTEL residents and guests were reminded to recognize their blessings everyday. The day was made possible by many volunteers who shared their family time with GODTEL residents.
The kitchen at the Nacogdoches County Jail was busy Thanksgiving morning. Inmates and law enforcement personnel had a home cooked dinner, thanks to the outreach ministry of several churches and the leadership of Preaching The Cross Ministry. The Cushing church has been providing the traditional Thanksgiving dinners for about seven years.
Other PTCM churches did the same thing at the Diboll and Eastham prison units and the Crockett State Boys School. Facilities in Beaumont and West Texas were also served.
