A Nacogdoches woman charged with embezzling more than $200,000 will be prosecuted at the federal level.
Stephanie VanDyke was a longtime bookkeeper for Anderson Record Service in Nacogdoches. Over a period of seven years, she's accused of transferring large amounts of money from the company. Both state and federal prosecution were considered, but investigators say the case is better served in Lufkin's federal court.
Vandyke surrendered to local authorities in April. She's been out on bond.
