The Christmas holiday is keeping postal workers at East Texas post offices very busy. "It's definitely a busy time for us, but we enjoy it because we get to take care of our customers, and this is a special time of the year for all of our customers, and we want to make sure we get them the best possible service that we can," says Postmaster Garry Wickliffe.
Bobbie Williams is depending on the U.S. Postal Service to get her special Christmas letters to family members. "Well, I do Christmas letters for all of my family and friends, and I tell them what all the family has done throughout the year, and places where we have gone on vacation, or about happy occasions and sad occasions", says Bobbie Williams.
Sending the letters is a tradition for Bobbie. "The post office loves me because I send out about 150 letters every year, every year."
Her letters reach loved ones every year because Bobbie avoids common mistakes. "The customer has to get the right address on a piece of mail and the zip code is the key to make sure that mail gets to where it is going. The correct address and a legible address is the most important thing on getting the mail to the destination", says the Nacogdoches Postmaster.
