Lufkin State School Celebrates the Holidays

Monday was a festive day at the Lufkin State School. The school hosted its annual holiday parade.

The school received specific guidelines from state officials to use the word holiday this year instead of Christmas when describing its festivities.

Not everyone celebrates Christmas so the state school can no longer decorate the campus with religious symbols or themes, but staff members and clients still showed their holiday spirit Monday. There were more than 60 entries in this year's parade.

Residents and employees can still decorate their dorm rooms and offices any way they like.
