The phone in the Lufkin I.S.D. ticket office rang off the hook all day Monday. Panther fans want their tickets to Saturday's game and they want them now.
Ticket manager, Barbara Davis, said, "I get here, usually, about 6:30 a.m., sometimes before, and they're already out here, so we just take them one at a time."
There is no limit on the number of tickets the district can sell, but there is a limit on the number of tickets you can buy.
"Tickets are limited," Davis said. "It's a total of six, and they'll be $6 for students, they'll be $8 for adults. Everything else will be $10.00."
The game starts at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon in Nacogdoches, but the gates at Homer Bryce Stadium open at 10:30 a.m. There are plenty of seats inside the stadium, but parking spaces are limited. That means it's a good idea to get to the game early enough to avoid a pre-game traffic jam.
Panther football tickets go on sale Wednesday at 7 a.m. You can buy advance tickets through 5 p.m. on Friday.
The school expects to sell 7,000 tickets before the big game.
