Teen Involved in Deadly Wreck Gets Probation

An East Texas teenager has been put on probation for killing her friend in a car wreck last April. The 13-year-old girl is restricted from getting a driver's license or permit until she turns 17 years old.

The first three months of her probation included intensive supervision. She was also ordered to perform 80 hours of community service.

Investigators said the juvenile took a relative's car one night and went for a drive with her friend. Wells High School student Jamye Crawford died in the crash.
