Gas has been restored for hundreds of Tenaha residents who lost their service Thursday morning.
A representative for CenterPoint Energy said 200 homes were back on around 9:00 p.m. Thursday. The homes of another 29 customers were tagged. All they have to do is call the company to get their gas turned back on.
People living in about 250 homes woke up Thursday morning without heat or a way to cook. The problem started after some sort of liquid from another company got into the pipeline.
Tenaha schools also lost gas and had to make special arrangements at lunch time.
