Busiest Mailing Day of the Year

by Jessica Cervantez

Ninety-million pieces of mail are expected to be processed on Monday. It is the busiest mail day of the year.

If you don't have your packages mailed in by Monday, it just might not make it to its destination, unless you use Express or Priority mail.

There is only a few days left until Christmas, and the post office has been busy trying to get all the mail processed. If you still have packages or Christmas cards to mail, there are some things you can do to make it easier for the post office.

Garry Wickliffe, the postmaster in Nacogdoches, said, "They need to make sure they have the full address. Of course, make sure it's very legible and make sure they use the right zip code. The zip code is very important in getting it to the area it's going to."

The Nacogdoches post office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
