Texas looking for Rose Bowl title

LOS ANGELES (AP)  The second-ranked Longhorns practice today in California to prepare for next Wednesday's game of the unbeatens -- Texas versus top-ranked U-S-C. T

he ceremonial pregame countdown for the Rose Bowl begins with both teams being welcomed at Disneyland. Tens of thousands of Texans will be pouring into the Los Angeles area to give Hollywood a distinctive burnt-orange hue. The Longhorns earned their Rose Bowl berth by going 12-and-0 for the first time in school history.

U-T also won its first Big 12 championship since 1996. Texas players say they won't be intimidated by a Trojans team that boasts Heisman Trophy winners in Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart.
