The burn ban is back on in Nacogdoches County.
The commissioner's court held a special meeting on Friday to discuss the issue. The county was only one of a few in the area not under a burn ban.
The extremely dry weather conditions played a major factor in the decision. Also, several volunteer fire departments contacted the commissioner's court to request the ban. The burn ban will be on for 30 days. Right now, the area is 10 inches below the annual normal rainfall.
