For starters, first impressions are important. "They are immediate, long lasting, and usually permanent," she says. "Your dating success will be based almost entirely upon the other person's initial sense of who and what you are." So make sure you don't need that second chance to make a first impression.
While you don't want to be phony or fake, you do want to look and act the part. "Statistics show that how we appear speaks more about us, and is more important, than what we say verbally," she says. So dress for who you want to be. Also, don't sell yourself short on the date. Instead, sell yourself with good attitude, image and behavior.
As hard-nosed as this may sound, dating is a numbers game. If you want to be successful in dating, know that you won't hit it out of the park every time. You may need to step up to the plate a few times.
Be confident. It's the number one quality both men and women seek in a date or a mate, she says.
