Woodland Heights Medical Center kicked off its annual Women in Red Campaign Tuesday. The hospital started spreading the heart healthy message a year ago because many women don't realize they may be at risk for a heart attack.
Hospital department directors and board members had a photo shoot, and collected money from co-workers dressed in red, all for a good cause.
Marketing director, Yana Ogletree, said, "We're taking photos for the Women in Red [advertising]campaign, which also benefits the American Heart Association. We'll have a luncheon [in April]. The money raised off that luncheon goes to the American Heart Association as well. It's just calling attention to women and heart disease."
