Man Accused of Covering Up Child's Death Goes on Trial

Billy Hill didn't say much in court as jurors were picked for his trial. He's accused of covering up the death of Anthony Lafeyette Boone in September 2003. The four-year-old boy was his girlfriend's son.

Polk County District Attorney Lee Hon told the jury pool the cause of little Anthony's death was either strangulation or drowning.

Tabitha Boone is charged with capital murder and will be tried separately at a later date. Authorities said Hill admitted helping Boone bury her son after he was killed.

Billy Hill is charged with injury to a child. His trial begins Tuesday morning at the Polk County Courthouse.

Anthony Boone's body was found in the backyard of a home in the community of Ace, about 20 miles from Livingston. Her two other children were removed from her home and placed in foster care.
