Some areas of the Angelina County jail are getting a new look.
Inmates are drawing art on the walls. Jail administrators wanted to bring more color to the jail. And, some talented inmates were asked to help out. Not only does it give the jail a new look, it also gives the inmates something to look forward to.
James Stephens, one of the artists, said, "It is a release, it gets you out of jail. I put over 100 hours in one and the other one took 160 hours. It gets me out and something to do something to focus on, something to show for my time."
