Library Sale Hopes to Raise Thousands

by Jessica Cervantez

If you are looking for a good book to read then you might want to make a visit to the Kurth Memorial Library in Lufkin.

It is time for their 34th Annual Book Sale, where more than 6-thousand books are available. They hope to raise thousands of dollars that will go directly back into the library. At the sale, you can find books for just a quarter.

This week is the pre-sale, but on Thursday, the Friends of the Library get a special preview of the "big book room". The public is invited Friday from 9 to 6, and Saturday from 9 to 5.

Last year, they raised $20-thousand dollars.
