Huntington Man Sentenced to Prison

An East Texas man has pleaded guilty to shooting at a Huntington police officer last summer. Twenty-one year-old Steven Wilson was sentenced to 35 years in prison for aggravated assault on a public servant.

A Huntington police officer tried to perform a routine traffic stop on Highway 69 back in August. Wilson, along with 22-year-old Tanner Hole and 18-year-old Sabrina Canda, refused to stop and led officers on a chase through town. Several gunshots were exchanged throughout the pursuit, but the officer was not hurt.

The case against Hole and Canda are still pending.
