Crockett Bank Robbery

A man is on the run after authorities say he robbed a bank in Crockett. "An individual walked in and demanded money and presented a note to the teller and the teller proceeded to hand him and undetermined amount of cash the individual walked out of the bank got into his vehicle and drove east of Crockett," says Chief Jimmy Fisher.

It happened Wednesday afternoon at the Prosperity Bank in the 1100 block of Houston avenue. Authorities say the robbery scared bank employees but they were able to give a good description of the suspect. Bank employees were able to get the license plate number as the suspect drove off authorities are confident they will make an arrest in this case and they already have a few suspects in mind.

"Federal and state authorities are assisting us in investigating this case. We have some suspects at this time and we are checking them out. We are in the process now of receiving information from DPS in relation to the suspect once we get a positive identification for the suspect we will be making an arrest," says Chief Fisher.
