Young Women's Conference Held at AC

About 300 East Texas middle school students are now better prepared to make a career choice. They are girls from Lufkin Middle School.

They took part in Friday's Young Women's Conference at Angelina College. They learned all about what it takes to become nurses, lawyers, computer technologists, and journalists. Some even got to be reporters for a day.

Alma Lozano said, "It teaches you what you need to do, how to go to college and how much money will you get, and it teaches you a lot of pretty good stuff."

Several members of the East Texas News team were guest speakers at Friday's conference. More than a dozen careers were featured.
