Company Has Layoff

Moore Wallace's corporate parent confirms another layoff is coming at its Nacogdoches printing plant.   A company spokesman says it's actually a continuation of streamlining that first surfaced in January.   About 15 employees will be handed their pink slips Friday in Nacogdoches. A spokesman for RR Donnelly says it's part of the company's effort to consolidate its pre press work.

Computer designers say their jobs are being outsourced to India. The corporate office would not confirm that information, but the company has had contracts in that country. Moore Wallace had been granted a tax abatement, but it has never been activated. The Nacogdoches Economic Development Corporation will be meeting with the company soon.
