Eleven year old Landon Shuffett's natural ability to play pool seems phenomenal. "He would crawl around on the table," says his father, Stan Shuffett. "I kinda used to take a stick and just kinda like jab at the balls," says Landon Shuffett.
360 competitions later, Landon can say he's faced some of the best adult pool players in the world. "He's played junior tournaments, professional, world junior tournaments."
Family and friends say besides his awesome play at the pool table, Landon also has great tableside wit and he keeps them entertained. But Landon's greatest attribute is not his mouth, his eyes or his hands. It's his nerves. And that tends to have an effect on his opponents.
Landon is well on his way to making a name for himself, but he could use a little help finding a nickname. You see, all of the great ones have one. "Earl the Pearl Strickland...Johnny Archer the Scorpion. I don't know if it suits me or not, but it's called The Kentucky Kid," says Landon. "I love pool. I'm gonna do it til the day I die."
