City Leader May be Calling it Quits

Lufkin's assistant city manager may be taking a new job. It is a management position in Diboll.

Kenneth Williams was recently offered the city manager position there. He is expected to make a final decision after next week's Diboll city council meeting.

Williams has been with the City of Lufkin for close to 20 years. Before his promotion to assistant city manager, Williams spent eight years as Lufkin's public works director.

He was also offered the city manager position in the southeast Texas town of Silsbee. He turned down the Silsbee job last year.
