Bank Robbers Pleaded Not Guilty

Two people accused of robbing an East Texas bank last month are pleading not guilty.

Thirty-seven year-old Dana Lawson and 31-year-old James Valentinis-Dee are charged with aggravated robbery. They pled not guilty to the crime in federal court. Their trial date is set for August 14th.

The duo is suspected of robbing the Prosperity Bank in Crockett. Authorities caught them two weeks later near Conroe in a stolen car.

Police linked them to the crime through fingerprints found on a note handed to a teller during the robbery.

Lawson is out of jail on bond. Valentinis-Dee is still being held on several bank robbery charges out of Texas and Louisiana.
