Woman Ran Over Man After He Reportedly Beat Her

A woman who purposely hit a man with her car on a Lufkin street will not be charged by police. She crashed into the man on Conn Street because he was beating her.

Lt. David Young said, "According to the witnesses who saw this and called it in, they saw a male inside a vehicle hitting a woman. The male then got out of the car and began to hit the car with a 2 x 4 and shortly thereafter, the woman ran over him with the car."

Police referred the woman to the city attorney's office so she could file assault charges against her attacker.
