An East Texas woman has been sentenced to prison for mistreating elderly patients left in her care.
Jurors sentenced 54-year-old Sharon Boulware of Geneva to ten years in prison on one count of injury to the elderly and seven years on a second count. Boulware will serve those sentences concurrently.
The case centered around two patients. She took care of those patients in her Huntington home, but was not licensed to do so.
Raymond Davis died from a bacterial infection just one hour after leaving Boulware's residence. He was also malnourished and suffered from pneumonia and septic shock.
