Lake Levels are Lower than Usual

Despite the rain we've gotten in the East Texas area, most area lakes are still about two feet below normal levels.

Lake levels at Sam Rayburn have been steadily falling since the beginning of June. At the beginning of last month, Sam Rayburn measured at 163.07, but the lake now measures at 162.37.

The level has been dropping about a tenth of an inch every day, but for a dry season, the level is not considered that low.
