Sixteen-year-old Ashton Glover spent many days with her aunt Christie Smith and other family members in Diboll. They last saw her Friday evening in Sugarland.
"She went out Friday night and met up with some friends. She went to a local coffee shop. She met two guys there - they were friends of hers [that] she went to school with - and she told them she was going to go mudding," says Christie Smith.
Ashton never returned home Friday night. Family members became concerned and began a search.
"People from [the] community, friends, and relatives - everybody was out looking for her. You know, we were on her MySpace account, trying to find out any information that we could," says Smith.
That's when authorities gave them the news no family wants to hear. Ashton's body had been found in a shallow grave.
Family members were suppose to gather for Ashton's graduation this school year, but instead they will attend her funeral, with unanswered question and no arrest made in this case.
