David Redden is a relieved man. Thursday afternoon the Nacogdoches County resident was found not guilty for the 2004 murder of a Houston resident. The jury agreed Redden was acting in self defense when he was hit with pepper spray. The prosecution blames a bad witness for the lost case. Rosie King was arrested in the courtroom Wednesday after lying on the stand. As a witness to the shooting she said she never knew pepper spray was involved. What she didn't know was a sheriff's department patrol car camera caught her throwing the evidence away at the crime scene. District attorney Stephanie Stephens said it was disturbing when a witness for either side would pollute the system by lying.
