Police Will Enforce Noise Complaints

Nacogdoches police officers are about to get stricter on handling noise complaints.

The chief of police has taken the issue to city commissioners.  Chief Jim Sevey says noise complaints make-up a large number of the nuisance calls they receive.

Now, he's come up with a procedure to better enforce the existing law.  Effective immediately, if authorities receive a noise complaint they will check it out and warn the individual.  If it happens again, they will issue a citation.
