Gas Prices are Once Again on the Rise

Temperatures are on the rise again just in time for the weekend and gas prices around East Texas are also going up for the fifth week in a row.

The cost of regular self-serve fuel is now averaging $2.92 per gallon statewide. Nationally, regular self-serve gasoline is averaging $3.01 per gallon.

Prices are going up because of summertime consumer demand and ongoing violence in the Middle East.

The cheapest gas in Texas can be found in Corpus Christi at  $2.83 per gallon. The most expensive gas in Texas is in the Galveston-Texas City area at $2.94 a gallon.
