Tyler County Woman Leads Officers on Chase

by Ramonica R. Jones

A Tyler County woman is in trouble with the law. It all started when 40-year-old Gabrielle Bains refused to quarantine her dogs after one of them bit several people.

Tyler County sheriff's deputies confronted Bains in Rockland and told her to take the dogs to animal control in Woodville. She agreed, but sped off all the way to Angelina County with deputies following.

Authorities eventually caught her. They arrested her and charged her with evading arrest. Angelina County Animal Control officers took her dogs in.

Tyler County officials said the dogs were vicious and very protective of the car.
