Teachers Get a Lesson in Music

Hundreds of Central and Hudson school teachers spent the day making music to get motivated for the new school year.

Drum Cafe, a group from San Antonio, traveled to East Texas to get the teachers ready to head back to the classroom. They worked on team building and unity while having a good time.

Don Allen, the director of curriculum & special programs for Central Independent School District, said, "Because it is the first week of school and first day of school for the teachers back at work, it just builds an excitement for the school year.  It gets our teachers motivated and excited about working with their students, and builds unity among our staff."

More than 400 teachers took part in the exercises.
