Shelter Animals Face Euthanization

by Jessica Cervantez

The Lufkin animal shelter is full. That means pets need to be adopted soon or they will be euthanized.

Right now, The Winnie Berry Adoption Center is housing 30-dogs and 40-cats. The center is having the most difficult time getting the older dogs adopted.

Kim Frels, with the humane society, said, "They are medium to large breed dogs, they lead on a leash, and they are well socialized.  They need a home, some of their time is running short."

It costs $58 to adopt an animal.  That includes the spay or neuter of an animal.
