Lufkin Man Sentenced to Prison for Aggravated Robbery

A Lufkin man who nearly beat a hitchhiker to death last year has been found guilty of aggravated robbery. A jury sentenced Charles Stribling to 20 years in prison.

Stribling and his girlfriend picked Gore up on a highway. In just two days, Stribling had Gore get a cell phone and car insurance in his name.

Sonya Moye is also charged with Gore's beating, but she testified against Stribling Thursday.

Both are accused of tying up Gore and beating him after he tried to get away from them. The two are also accused of robbing him of $500 and several prescription drugs he had with him.
