First Year Teachers Getting the Swing of Things

The start of school can be just as overwhelming for teachers as it can be for students, especially, for first-year teachers.

Fifth grade teacher William Bosley is excited about his first year in the classroom. The science and social studies teacher at Brookhollow Elementary in Lufkin says he has a passion to make a difference in his student's lives because of his fifth grade teacher. That is why he decided to become a teacher in the first place.

Bosley said, "I had three brothers and they had a bad reputation, but my teacher believed in me, she really changed me."

Principal Don Jackson is also spending his first year at Brookhollow.  Jackson comes from Grapeland High School.
