We have all heard of the "Don't Mess With Texas" slogan. It is the message to clean-up the state's highways.
The campaign began twenty years ago with commercials featuring numerous celebrities. Advocates of the campaign believe it is working. In fact, from 1986 to 1990 litter on state highways dropped by 72%.
Representatives of Angelina Beautiful Clean hope that East Texans continue to take pride in their state and clean up.
Lisa Griffin, said, "That's what trash cans are for, that's what recycling bins are for. If everybody does their part, then it will all be done together."
