Police Look for Man Who Sped Off on an ATV

Diboll police have released video of the man that led them on a chase last Sunday night. The surveillance video is from the Polk's convenience store in Diboll just minutes before the pursuit. A man in a black muscle shirt is the suspect.

An officer tried to approach him after he left the store because he was riding a four-wheeler on a paved road. Police chased him for eight miles along FM 2497 to Peavy Switch Road. The suspect took off into a wooded area and disappeared. Authorities believe he is from Diboll.

Detective Richard Thompson said, "He is possibly a white male. He has a barbed wire-type tattoo just above his elbow on his left arm and an elongated tattoo on the same arm, and also a tattoo on his right arm which is possibly a head of some type."

If you know who the man is or have any information about this case, call the Diboll Police Department or Lufkin Crime Stoppers at 639-TIPS.
