The S.F.A. Lumberjacks blew a seven point halftime lead to division two Delta State on Saturday night. Delta State kicked a game winning field goal with under one minute to go to win 17 to 14. It's the first time the 'Jacks have lost to a division two opponent since 1990.
S.F.A. scored the only touchdown of the first half thanks to a 15 yard run by Jerome Brooks. But two Scott Eyster touchdown passes to Eric Marshall in the third quarter gave the Statesmen a seven point lead. S.F.A. tied the game in the 4th on a Danny Southall touchdown run.
S.F.A. heads to Arizona next Saturday.
