Freedom Fighter: Dona Bozeman

Dona Bozeman joined the Army Nurse Corps in 1942, just after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. She spent two and a half years taking care of soldiers, wounded by war, in North Africa, and Italy. After returning home, Dona married Wallace Bozeman, who had served in the Air Corps in the South Pacific. Dona retired in 1979 after 39 years in nursing. Wallace died ten years later. Dona Bozeman still lives in th home she and Wallace bought in 1950 on the GI Bill Of Rights.
