Cocaine Bust in Nacogdoches County

Officers from the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Department seized about 130 pounds of powdered cocaine. That's after a traffic stop along highway 59.

Authorities say they stopped 31 year old Derek Coreathers of Houston for speeding. Officers say they became suspicious when the driver and a passenger seemed nervous after the stop.

That's when they found the cocaine in the sleep compartment of the truck tractor. Both were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance a first degree felony.

The cocaine had an estimated street value of approximately 1 million dollars.
