(AP) Terrell Owens helped turn a tight game into a rout by catching two touchdown passes in the third quarter and another in the fourth as the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Houston Texas 34-to-6. He also helped the Cowboys avenge an embarrassing loss to their in-state rivals four years ago. Owens' touchdowns covered three, 21 and two yards.
The first one staked Dallas to a lead it would never relinquish in raising its record to 3-and-2. Houston, which led 6-to-3 at halftime, reviving visions of a stunning 19-to-10 victory over Dallas in the first game in Texans history back in 2002, falls to 1-and-4. Houston turned the ball over on three straight drives in the second half, including two interceptions by David Carr. The defensive display by the Cowboys allowed them to score on five of their six second-half possessions.
