Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council of Deep East Texas ($35,000):  Prevention, intervention and counseling for alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.  Outreach screening, referral and intervention for adolescents, adults and their families regardless of ability to pay.

Hospice in the Pines ($18,000):  Compassionate and specialized care enabling the terminally ill to die with peace and dignity in their own home with their loved ones.  Professionals providing hospice care, regardless of ability to pay.  Provides support groups for families coping with loss.

Katherine Sage Temple Child Care Center ($30,000):  Quality child care provided in a safe and healthy environment for Diboll and surrounding area.  Children age 6 weeks to 12 years, are welcome at affordable costs to their parents.

Boy Scouts ($21,000):  Opportunity to build desirable qualities of character, and mental and physical fitness.  An effective program designed to develop self esteem, leadership skills, personal resourcefulness, ability to get along with others and a better understanding and respect for American values.

Angelina County Welfare Board for Protective Services ($5,000):  Established in 1951, a county-wide jointly financed, state-administered children's protective services, birth to 18 years who are victims of physical, sexual or mental abuse, neglect or abandonment.

Salvation Army ($90,000):  Meeting the needs of others with food, temporary shelter, transportation, medicine, clothing, utilities, and summer camp.  Hot lunches provided Monday-Friday.  Assists in emergency situations to transients and Angelina County residents.

Red Cross ($25,000):  Provides disaster preparation courses.  Assistance to victims of disasters, house fires, tornadoes, flood or hurricane relief.  Provides 24-hour emergency communications to families of armed forces emergency services.  Trained volunteers teach health and safety courses, CPR, first aid and learn to swim program.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Deep East Texas ($42,000):  Daily leadership, guidance, and inspiration to help young people (ages 6-18) grow and become responsible, contributing adults in our society.  Provides after school and summer supervised developmental programs.

McMullen Memorial Library ($10,000):  Community library services to the residents of Huntington, Zavalla, and the lake Sam Rayburn area.  Circulation of books, videos, and books on tape, Internet access, photocopier, summer reading program, large print materials available to public and free computer literacy classes.  Free library cards.

Adoption Center of East Texas ($13,000):  The Center has expanded its services to encompass the training of foster and adoptive parents and placement of older children through the state.  We continue to provide extensive services for pregnant women considering placing children for adoption.

C.A.S.A. (Court Appointed Special Advocates) ($9,000):  Trained community volunteers advocate for the best interest of abused, neglected children who are placed in foster care by the District and Family Courts of Angelina County.  Working to seek safe, permanent and loving home for each child as soon as possible.

Wilson McKewen Rehabilitation Center (Honorary Member):  Quality rehabilitation services to patients in Angelina County regardless of their ability to pay.  Includes audiology, social services, physical therapy, speech and language pathology and occupational therapy.

Women's Shelter of East Texas ($46,000):  Services include safe, temporary housing, counseling, supportive assistance, resource referral education, vocation implementation and general advocacy to physically,mentally and verbally abused women, men and children who have no other support systems.  24-hour hotline 1-800-828-SAFE.  Non-resident victim assistance available also.

Lufkin Workshop & Opportunity Center ($25,000):  Center provides work adjustment training, personal and social adjustment training, job placement and transportation to individuals with learning and physical limitations.  Provides training to individuals for competitive employment and constructive work experience.

Lufkin Adult Learning Center ($23,000):  Provides education to Angelina County clients for adult literacy tutoring, GED preparation, the teaching of English as a Second language, and US Citizenship preparation.  Education in basic business skills.

Angelina County Senior Citizens Activities ($48,000):  Center for Angelina County citizens age 60 and older to socialize.  Provides noon meals and home delivery.  Transportation, information and referral, recreational and social activities, health screenings, income tax aid.

Samaritan Counseling Center ($10,000):  Preventive measures and education to assist the human growth process and healthy development through crisis.  Therapy for adults, children, couples and/or families, stress management clinic.

Girl Scouts ($10,000):  An organization that builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.  Girls discover, lead and take action by participating in Girl Scouts, the nation's preeminent organization for personal growth and leadership development for girls.

T.L.L. Temple Memorial Library ($14,000):  Quality library service to residents of Diboll and Angelina County.  Loan of books, circulating art collection, summer reading program, videos, photocopies, typewriters and Internet access for the public.  Free library cards may be obtained by anyone living or working in Angelina County (age 3 and older).

Angelina Alliance for Children ($9,000):  The mission of Angelina Alliance for Children is to serve child victims of sexual and/or physical abuse, minimizing their trauma through a team approach in a child friendly environment.

Hope Center ($15,000):  Provides a food pantry, noon meals, and showers.  Computer literacy training program to prepare individuals for employment.  Summer and after school program for children.

X-Change Place ($5,000):  A safe and neutral place for children caught in the middle of a contentious divorce or family crisis.  Through compassionate supervision of visits and exchanges, trained volunteers provide a secure and friendly environment for children of all ages.

Emergency Relief ($72,000):  Assistance given in emergency situations to residents of Angelina County.

Operations and Campaign ($70,000):  Campaign supplies, office supplies, rent, telephone, salaries, audit and tax reports, postage, printing etc.
