Nacogdoches Police Report - 10/23/06

ASSAULT: 300 block of East Main Street. Officers responded to a disturbance. Found Charles Polly had assaulted a female by throwing her to the ground. He was arrested.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS: 300 block of Ellington Street. Officers responded to a trespassing complaint. Found that Mallisa Cummings had returned to the location after being given a criminal trespass warning. She was arrested.

DWI: 1400 block Of North University Drive. Suspect was stopped for a traffic violation. Matthew Hall was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested.

DWI: 1700 block of East Starr. Driver was contacted after being stopped for traffic violation. He was found to be intoxicated. Daniel Martinez was arrested.

ASSAULT: 2100 block of Pearl Street. A female was assaulted by a known suspect during a disturbance. Warrant was requested.

FORGERY: 1030 North University Drive (Fresh Harvest). A forged check was passed at the store for fuel.

DWLI: 800 block of South Street. Brian Roberson was contacted after being stopped for traffic. His DL was found to be suspended. He was arrested.

DWI: POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE / POSSESSION OF A DANGEROUS DRUG: 4800 block of NE Stallings Drive. A suspect who identified himself as a physician entered Medical Center Hospital emergency room asking for a hypodermic syringe. Hospital security contacted the police department reporting a suspicious person. Officers stopped vehicle on Wal-Mart parking lot. Upon contacting the suspect: officers found him to be in possession of a rock of suspected crack cocaine, a baggie of white powder containing suspected cocaine, and several tablets of Efexor, a dangerous drug. The suspect was also found to be intoxicated. Steve White of Longview, Texas was arrested.

ASSAULT: 4704 North Street (Sports Shack). Officers responded to a disturbance inside the business. It was learned that the suspect had physically assaulted another male. John Shirley was arrested.

THEFT: 1000 N. University Drive (Chevron). Unknown suspect stole a 30 pack of beer from the store.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 700 block of Village Gate. Complainant reported his vehicle was damaged at an unknown location.

DWLI: 1600 block of Railroad. Officers stopped a vehicle on traffic and found the driver to have a suspended DL. Curtis Jaymark Harris was arrested.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION: 400 block of Sadler. A known suspect entered the residence through a window and jerked the telephone from the complainant. The suspect then unplugged the phone and left. A warrant has been requested.

ASSAULT: 3500 block of South Street. A known suspect pushed a female down causing an abrasion on her arm. A warrant requested.

DWLI: 2800 north street. Vehicle stopped for traffic violation. Driver DL found to be suspended. Brandon Jones was arrested.

THEFT: 1900 block of North Street. Complainant had left her cell phone at a location. An online check revealed the phone had been used.

HIT AND RUN: 3100 block of North. A suspect backed into complainant's vehicle and left the scene. Officers located the suspect vehicle, but complainant declined to file charges.

DOG BITE: 3300 block of Old Tyler Road. A three-year-old child was bitten by the family pet. Child treated at Medical Center Hospital. Dog was identified as a Boston Terrier.

HIT AND RUN: 200 Russell Blvd. Unknown suspect vehicle struck a parked and unattended vehicle and left the scene.

POSSESSION OF A FIREARM BY FELON / POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA /UNLAWFUL CARRYING OF A WEAPON: 1800 block of Greer Street. Lorne Pernell was driving a vehicle that was stopped for traffic violation. Was found to be in possession of a firearm and suspected marijuana. Officers also located a club (UCW). He was arrested.

DWLI: 700 block of North Fredonia Street. Clarence Young was driving a vehicle stopped for traffic. His DL was found to be suspended. He was arrested.

THEFT: 4810 North Street (Wal-Mart). Suspect was observed by Wal-Mart loss prevention shoplifting items from the store. Mary Howard was arrested.

DWI: 2100 Banita Street. Officers were alerted to a vehicle driving on a rim, causing sparks, vehicle located and driver was found to be intoxicated. Darren James McNatt was arrested.

FAILURE TO ID (FUGITIVE): 3400 block of South Street. Suspect was contacted after sleeping in the laundry room of a hotel. Suspect gave a false name. Once identified, he was found to have municipal warrants.

CREDIT CARD ABUSE: 200 block of East Main. Known suspect used complainant's debit card to make a purchase over the Internet.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE: 2700 block of Old Lufkin Road. Complainant's vehicle was taken from inside a fence at a mechanic shop. Vehicle was located in the 1300 block of South Street, abandoned. Vehicle released to owner.

THEFT: 4600 block of North Street. Officers responded to a report of a person in possession of a stolen cell phone. A juvenile was found in possession of a phone stolen in a burglary in Carthage, Texas. Juvenile was taken into custody.

DWI-DWLI: Hunter Road at stallings drive. Officer stopped a vehicle for speeding. Driver was found to be intoxicated and have a suspended DL. John D. Smith was arrested.

THEFT: 1122 North University Drive (Shoe Department) a pair of boots was stolen from the business by unknown suspects.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: 1100 Park Street. Suspect was contacted for traffic stop and was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana.

DUI (MINOR) / POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: 1100 Park Street. Officers stopped vehicle on traffic. Sean Favor (age 17) was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested. Officers found the passenger, Hans R. Wang to be in possession of suspected marijuana. He was also arrested.

DWI / HIT AND RUN: 2800 block of Logan Circle. Known suspect struck a vehicle and a tree and left the scene. Suspect was contacted after an investigation and arrested. Torrence McLain was arrested.
