Lufkin Police Report - 10/25/06

THEFT:  4200 block of S. Medford Dr. A known suspect stole an unknown object from a store Tuesday afternoon.  The man was seen by an employee who knew the suspect running from the store with a box and it set the security alarm off when the man fled.  Store personnel are reviewing security video to see what was taken.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  2400 block of E. Denman Ave. A building was damaged Tuesday morning.  It appears the building was hit by a car, damaging the metal siding.

BURGLARY:  1200 block of S. Medford. A meat processing business was broken into Monday night and 25 lbs. of link sausage was stolen.

ASSAULT:  2500 block of Daniel McCall. A woman reported that she was attacked by the ex sister-in-law of her boyfriend when she went shopping Tuesday afternoon.  The woman has some scratches and a very small cut on her arm.

ASSAULT:  1100 block of Jones. A woman reported that her husband beat her with a cane Sunday afternoon.  The woman sought treatment at a Nacogdoches hospital Tuesday.  The woman was treated for numerous bruises and several small cuts.
