Lufkin Police Report - 10/27/06

ASSAULT/C:  700 block of Shueller.  A 15-year-old boy reported that he was assaulted by two other teenagers on Saturday over rumors about the victim and the suspect's cousin.  No injuries were reported.

THEFT/B:  1500 block of Pershing.  A man reported that four pit bull puppies have been stolen from him at separate times, spanning a time frame from Sept. 1st to October 26th.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT:  400 block of Holland St.  Two shots were reportedly fired in the 400 block of Holland St. Thursday evening.  Several subjects in the area were checked for weapons and released.  A 9mm magazine was found in the street but no gun was found and responding officers were not able to determine who fired the shots.

ASSAULT:  Feagin Ave.  A 14-year-old boy reported that he was assaulted by several subjects as he walked home from school Thursday.  The boy said the subjects have been after him to fight recently.  The boy suffered unspecified injuries.

FRAUD:  300 block of Shepherd. A Colorado man reported that he was defrauded out of some money on an e-bay car sale by someone in Lufkin.  A short investigation revealed no one in Lufkin was involved and that someone apparently in California had used a Lufkin man's e-bay sale to defraud the victim who sent money for a car to a California address and never got the car.  The victim was referred to his local law enforcement agency to file a fraud report.

ASSAULT:  100 block of N. Timberland. A 16-year-old girl was assaulted as she walked home from school.  Witnesses reported that a passing car stopped and a female from the car got out and attacked the victim.  The victim had scrapes to her knees and was bleeding from a cut to her face.  The victim declined medical attention.   The suspect is believed to go to school with the victim.
