Lufkin Police Report - 10/30/06

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  600 block of Finley St.  A man heard a loud noise outside his home and went out to find that a 3 lb. dumbbell had been thrown though the back window of a pickup shortly after 11pm Sunday night.       

BURGLARY/VEHICLE:  700 block of Locke.  A locked car was entered and the stereo was stolen Sunday evening while the car was parked outside the owner's home.        

THEFT/C:  300 block of N. Bynum Dr.  Three pain pills were missing from the locked medicine closet of the nursing home.  The pills were taken sometime overnight Saturday.

THEFT:  1000 block of W. Frank St.  A laptop computer was stolen from the surgery wing of the hospital sometime Saturday night.    

ASSAULT/A:  800 block of Cottonbelt:  A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend came to her house and assaulted her early Sunday morning.  The woman reported that the man hit her in the face, choked her and pulled her hair weave out.  The woman had visible swelling to her eye.

ASSAULT/A:  2100 block of Palmore Rd.  A man sought treatment at a local emergency room after being assaulted at a party early Sunday morning.  The man reported that his friend was attacked at the party by a known suspect.  The victim then went to help his friend and the suspect assaulted him as well.  The victim had two swollen eyes and was bleeding from his ear.
